Michael Burdge

Michael Burdge was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and comes from a family with a long history in the aerospace and defense industry.  He founded Process Fab Inc. (PFI) in 1983 and serves as the company’s CEO and Director of Operations.  He is the force behind the company’s unwavering commitment to the design, manufacture and delivery of superior products and services.

Mr. Burdge is relentlessly and singularly focused on aggressive action planning and execution.  He has assembled an exceptionally experienced and highly talented management team, engineering team, manufacturing team and other aerospace professionals needed to successfully lead the company well into the next century.  He firmly believes and has successfully demonstrated that continuous improvement and substantial investment in new technologies, coupled with consistent recruitment and development of talented personnel, is a winning formula for excellence in the aerospace industry.

Before founding Process Fab Inc., Mr. Burdge served his trade internships in the aerospace industry, during which time he also completed engineering studies in college.  By capitalizing on his education and experience, he enhanced his entrepreneurial instincts which led him to organize and build Process Fab Inc. into the successful business it is today.

Mr. Burdge has personally engineered and designed a great number of large Ground Support Equipment Items, Major Handling Equipment, Facilities and Major Bonding and Assembly Tools for Government Prime Contractors in the Aerospace industry.  He has become an expert at value engineering and “design to cost manufacturing” methods, both of which are utilized by PFI to produce close tolerance manufactured equipment and tools.  Under Mr. Burdge’s leadership, PFI has successfully delivered in excess of $500 million in high quality components, systems and related engineering services and support.  The Boeing Company, Lockheed-Martin facilities throughout the country and the Northrop Company have presented Process Fab Inc. with “Supplier of the Year” recognitions and other awards for excellence and outstanding performance.

Mr. Burdge has continued to value a meaningful balance between business, family and personal time.  Mr. Burdge is very hands on and it is not uncommon to find him diligently working long days while still enjoying quality time with his family or piloting his King Air Turboprop.  He is active in his church, loves out door activities like hunting, fishing, and skiing and is an accomplished multi-engine instrument rated pilot with over 4,000 flight hours.  He is a perfectionist at heart and believes character and integrity are the keys to a successful and fulfilling life.
