The Lean Manufacturing Manager is a highly trained leader who would generate significant value and cost efficiencies. They would achieve this effectiveness by educating PFI team members and applying Lean Processing techniques. As a member of the PFI team you would have the opportunity of working with various departments to analyze and streamline processes for maximum efficiency. By utilizing a proven methodology, you would assist us in building on continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
The The Lean Manufacturing Manager's responsibilities will include the following:
- Lead process improvement teams to rigorously apply the Six Sigma process improvement methodologies, and achieve business results.
- Meet project goals and milestones.
- Deliver just-in-time Six Sigma training to team members.
- Work with Business Leadership to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities.
- Provide Business Leadership with support, tools and training to conduct meaningful project reviews.
- Develop multiple Green Belts (part time Six Sigma Project Leaders).
- Provide one-on-one project review and mentoring in application of Six Sigma methodology and tools. Lead efforts to implement Process Control and Management process mapping, documentation, metrics, monitoring systems and process ownership).
Essential Skills Required
- Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and operations management concepts.
- Capable and committed to consistently meeting the needs of the client while building relationships based on mutual respect.
- Works effectively to get results while both leading and participating on teams.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and a demonstrated ability at influencing change.
- Self motivated with a high degree of ownership and accountability for results.
- Highly flexible and able to react constructively and with a positive attitude to multiple demands, shifting priorities, change and unexpected events.
- Analytical skills with a practical common sense approach. Strong and demonstrated strategic orientation and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge in process and organizational improvement tools like process flow mapping, root cause analysis, etc.
- Experience in creating and evaluating balanced scorecards, use of statistical control charts, creating and evaluating process standards, etc.
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Access and Microsoft Project.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct supervisory responsibilities, but must be able to conduct his/her day-to-day duties in a highly professional manner.
Contacts and Relationships:
This position interfaces with executive management, operations management, and shop employees to coordinate and perform tasks.

| Qualifications: |
Education/Training/Experience
A minimum of 6-10 years of work experience.
3-5 years of management strategy or process consulting experience.
Experience leading teams on projects.
Black Belt certification preferred.
Knowledge of:
Aerospace, structural fabrication, tooling, machining, flight hardware and assembly.
Must be able to:
- Respond effectively to customers and others on the phone.
- Exercise initiative in organizing and completing task assignments.
- Prioritize work assignments, and flexibility to change priorities as required.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing with staff, customers, and other internal and external contacts.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors and management.
