The Driver loads/unloads vehicles, charts directions, uses maps, makes deliveries and pick-ups, and assists the shipping & receiving department when not driving. He will work from verbal instructions as well as exercising judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals. Based on instructions/information given, he will operate various vehicles appropriate to the task. He must meet deadlines and document progress. He will perform a variety of tasks to meet our customer’s expectations. He will work with pallets, load locking devices, shipping blocks, etc. He must be flexible, dependable, time conscious, and be able to move from project to project with minimal supervision. Must work closely with the Shop Supervisor.
Essential Functions
The Driver’s responsibilities will include the following:
- The ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and company owned vehicles.
- The ability exercise safe driving, as well as defensive driving techniques.
- Must allow his DMV records to be reviewed by the company annually.
- The ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Providing customer service when required.
- The ability and maturity to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Maintain a clean work area daily as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct supervisory responsibilities, but must be able to conduct his/her day-to-day duties in a highly professional manner.

| Qualifications: |
The qualified candidate must possess as a minimum:
"A" Driver:
- Same as “B” level driver plus the following skills:
- Must have 6 years driving experience.
- Must have class “A” license.
- Must have ‘wide’ and ‘oversize’ load experience.
- Must be experienced in rigging and tie-down.
"B" Driver:
- Same as “C” level driver plus the following skills:
- Must have 3 years driving experience.
- Must have class “B” license.
- Must have flatbed experience.
- Must have experience in load tie-down.
- Must be forklift certified and able to operate hand trucks an pallet jacks.
- Must be able to confirm PO requirements.
"C" Driver:
- Entry level driver.
- Must have clean driving record with a class “C” license.
