Even during these tough economic times, PFI still offers many benefits to its customers including a 24/7 operation to ensure schedule adherence and reduced lead-time. PFI provides quicker runtime with (3) large high-speed 24,000 RPM 5-Axis nutating head machines and greater capacities offering (8) large 5 axis milling Gantries up to 30' of travel. We've expanded our quality engineering group, now utilizing (8) laser trackers, (6) Faro Arms, & (2) CMMs to benefit customers with reverse engineering, inspection, and tool building capabilities anywhere in the country. Our recent campus expansion encompasses (7) buildings, housing all the interrelated divisions of PFI's Tooling, Fabrication, Machining, Metrology, Assembly, and Engineering Departments.

FLIGHT HARDWARE
Since our expansion in June 09 PFI has seen a steady growth in the field of Flight Hardware for military, aerospace and commercial programs. We expanded operations in a new 18,000 sq ft Airframe and Spacecraft Structures Assembly Building facilitated with Overhead Cranes offering safe efficient handling of products. As of Jan. 4, 2010 PFI opens another 24,000 sq ft Flight and Space Structures Hardware Facility. This facility will be dedicated for the final assembly efforts on our large Flight and Space Structures Assemblies. These new additions bring PFI's Facility Operations to a total of 150,000 sq ft. with 180 employees.
Systems testing will also be an integral part of this facility encompassing: Proof Load, Hydro Testing, Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical and Function testing.
All of our technicians are trained Aircraft Assembly Mechanics with systems integration experience. This operation has provided added value to our customers looking for Flight Hardware Assembly turn key solutions.
